This program is part of the Community-Based Habitat Restoration grant program and will engage underserved communities in habitat restoration activities that promote resilient ecosystems and communities. This funding will provide capacity assistance and develop future transformational habitat projects.
Eligible Uses
Capacity building activities, including participation in resilience planning, project planning and feasibility studies, stakeholder engagement, and proposal development. Restoration activities, including demonstration projects, engineering and design, permitting, and on-the-ground implementation, are also eligible.
Eligible Recipients
Eligible recipients are institutions of higher education, non-profits, commercial (for-profit) organizations, U.S. territories, state, local, and tribal governments that can demonstrate status as an underserved community or that partner with underserved communities, tribes, or tribal entities in coastal areas.

This program has received an influx of funding from The Bipartisan Infrastructure Law and funding amounts may vary year-to-year.
