The Community Wildfire Defense Grant Program provides grants to communities at risk from wildfire to develop or revise their community wildfire protection plans and carry out projects described within those plans. It includes a mix of formula and competitive funds.
Eligible Uses

Eligible Recipients
Academic institutions, non-profit, businesses, tribal governments, states, and territories are eligible for this program if they fall within an area at-risk for wildfire.
Approx Annual Funding Amount
$100 million is released annually for 10 years and each annual release is available for four years or until the funding has been spent.

Grant applications are expected to open early in 2023.
