The Bipartisan Infrastructure Law provides a total of $60 million for actions that support the Mississippi River/Gulf of Mexico Watershed Nutrient Task Force’s Gulf Hypoxia Action Plan to significantly expand and enhance capacity of the states to improve water quality in the Gulf and throughout the Mississippi River/Atchafalaya River Basin.
Eligible Uses
BIL funds may be used to scale up implementation of nutrient reduction strategies to advance bold, systemic actions that accelerate nutrient load reductions in the Mississippi River/Atchafalaya River Basin and to the Gulf of Mexico.
