The Emergency Forest Restoration Program (EFRP) helps the owners of non-industrial private forests restore forests damaged by natural disasters. The EFRP does this by authorizing payments to owners of private forests to restore disaster-damaged forests.
Eligible Uses
Eligibility is determined through a review by the Farm Service Agency (FSA) County Committee. Funds are available if the damage caused would harm the natural resources on the land and/or significantly affect future land use.

The funding amount varies annually.
Cost Share Requirements
Up to 75% of implementation cost can be paid by the Federal government, as determined by the FSA, with the other 25% to be provided by the individual.
