The Climate Change Technical Assistance for Territories is a newly established program under the Inflation Reduction act and aims to provide technical assistance to the U.S. Insular Areas for climate change planning, mitigation, adaptation, and resilience, including American Samoa, Guam, the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands, the U.S. Virgin Islands, and Puerto Rico.

Eligible Uses

The funds will support technical assistance to the U.S. Insular Areas for climate change planning, mitigation, adaptation, and resilience projects.

U.S. territories are eligible recipients.

Approx Annual Funding Amount

$15,900,000 is available through the IRA through the end of FY2026.
